Last February I went to New Jersey for a James Marsters’ Valentine’s Day Event. I arrived late Friday the 13th and left early on Sunday the 15th, so it really was a quick trip.
The South Orange Performance Center in New Jersey. A really nice venue close to lots of restaurants. A little far from the hotel and hard to find, but worth it when we got there.

My plushy Spike joined in the fun.It included a photo with James, a personalized autograph, a Question and Answer session and James explained and acted 30 of Shakespeare’s Sonnets and did a concert. Besides being a very talented actor, he is also a singer-song writer.

James was bouncy and very happy. Excited about doing Shakespeare. I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful that was. He was actor, teacher and Shakespeare fan all rolled into one. A happy, excited James is a force of nature and so wonderful to see.
It was lots of fun to meet up with my online friends. We had a break between the afternoon events and the evening concert. So a group of us went to a nearby Mexican Restaurant and had dinner. The concert was open to the public so the room was full. James was in fine voice, so the concert was lovely.
At the Mexican Restaurant(whose name I can't remember). Really good food and not expensive. We were a roudy bunch but the staff took good care of us.
It is so nice to meet in person other fans and gossip and learn about their lives. James does have male fans also but I only know in person a couple of them. I now have friends in England, Germany, France, Russia, Australia, Italy, Canada, a lot of other countries that I can’t remember and all over the US.
