Some memories of James Marsters' CD Launch Party.
Just a small report on my conversations - such as they were - with James. I didn't take very many pictures and what I did take didn't turn out very well. I had a wonderful time even with the sleeze couple there, trying to get in James' pants. Like he would even be interested in that sluty broad. He was so sweet and just gorgeous, and warm and friendly. His singing gets better and better.
At the 1st photo op, I told him I was the oldest in the room again and that my birthday was Tues the 30th and I would be 72 and I wanted a huggy picture. He said that when he goes on the set he is always the oldest there at 45, and I said that I have kids older than him and he said "REALLY!!" Froggy took the picture but I blinked so he wanted to take another one and I said "I get another hug." Afterwards I said "Thank you" and James said "You look good."
I have this internet friend who I have never met in person. She has Spina Biffida and is confined to a wheelchair. Anyway, I bought a CD so I could give her my autographed one, and I bought her a beautiful picture of James too. And when I was almost up to my turn for an autograph, I called her on my cell phone and asked James to talk to her. Which he did. Steve said " You know she is using your time with James, and I said, "Yes, I know, but you have to do something for others sometimes." Besides, I got to sit across from him at the autograph table and he used my cell phone.I have a cell phone that was used by James!!!
After that we could get another special photo op for $70, so I bought that. When I got into the hug this time, James said "I can really smile now that the set is done."I didn't fuck it up." Froggy took the picture and I told James "You were great" and he said "Thank you" . That ended the last personal encounter. I got to spend the whole afternoon and evening in the same room as James and it was worth every cent I spent. I had the best time ever. Even the jerk and his slut wife couldn't ruin that. The funny thing is, I took no pictures in the room except for two cell phone shots, the whole time. I met a lot of really great people whose names I can't remember. Its times like this that I wish I had a memory.
